n•1: Nutella Truflles

Let's start with a quick introduction: My name is Alexia Basch, I am 13 years old, and I'm a climber. But let's forget all that, and enter a new world: Cooking.
For Christmas I received a Nutella Cook Book from my Aunt, which includes hundreds of recipes all Nutella based. It is in french, but that's alright since I am fluent. But it means the recipes will be better! (hopefully)..

I have set myself a mission of doing one recipe from that book a week, every sunday.
If you are not interested in the recipes, skip all that is in blue, and just read the rest ;)

First up, Nutella truffles!
(25 minutes of preparation, 2h 15 mins in fridge --- makes about 15 truffles)

Ingredients: • 250 g of Nutelle
                    • 60 g of dark chocolate (I used cooking chocolate)
                    • 15 g of butter
                    • 75 g of cocoa powder (I used about 20 grams)

Preparation:
• Spoon out the Nutella into a plastic container, and leave 1h in the fridge to harden.
• Take out the Nutella and form little balls with two spoons-be careful to keep manipulation to a minimum.
• Once finished, place the balls on greese-proof paper and leave 15-25 in fridge. (I left them 5 mins in the freezer, because I am lazy!)
• While the truffles-to-be are cooling, slice the butter into cubes, and break the chocolate in segments. Put these in a bowl. Heat up some water in a saucepan; when the water boils, remove the pan from heat and place the bowl with butter and chocolate over the pan. Mix gently until a smooth mixture is formed. Leave to cool down. (If you don't the Nutella will melt-I made that mistake-you have to be patient!
• Take out the Nutella and with a spoon dip each ball in the chocolate mixture.
• Put them back on the greece-proof paper and leave another hour in the fridge (or if your really impatient, the freezer will do)
• Roll the truffles in the cocoa powder.
• AGAIN put them back in the fridge until you eat them unless you're a greedy pig like me who will eat them straight away.

AND BOOM you've got yourself some Nutella truffles!

About this recipe:
It's really simple and easy to make, and really fun if you like cooking. You have to be really patient to get it just right, but if you aren't, then it doesn't really matter...
If you really love Nutella, then you'll love these, if not, then you will find them quite sickening. Because let's face it, it's a ball of Nutella covered on cocoa powder after all!

Keep reading and tune in every Sunday night at  http://www.alexiabaschcooking.blogspot.com   to find out my other Nutella recipes!

xoxo, Alexia
